Best Chinese food I've had in a while & I've traveled around the world. Sam & Jessica make you feel at home. Try their Mu-Shu Pork- wow!

Went to a later dinner at 8:30pm. The egg drop soup was cold. We shared the Szechwan Dinner for two. The BBQ was ok. The General Tso was just ok and tasted a little reheated. The Chung King Pork was my favorite. I have been for lunch and find lunch to be fresher food & better priced. Service was great and the family that owns it seems so nice. Will go again for lunch but not dinner.

When in Bellingham you can always find good places to eat. My college daughter wanted Chinese food (vs. Thai) and New Peking had good reviews so we decided to check it out.
Previous reviews raves more about the owners than the food. I love god customer service and friendly folk. I am a people person. But for my daughter it was just a bit too familiar. When he correctly guessed where we were from (eerie) then proceeded unintentionally to imply she was rather robust for a vegetarian I knew the evening was a bust in her eyes.
Our food was decent and filling. The girls both clean plated their veggie noodles and the lemon chicken and Mongolian beef I shared with my husband was good. The hot noodle soup was not to my liking but the pot stickers yummy.
I also liked the fact that people stick their fortunes from their fortune cookies in the cracks of the interior brick walls. Very quirky and fun.
If you are looking for friendly Chinese food that won't break the bank check it out! -

This place blends into the background if you don't look closely.
It's an older building and the inside pretty much matches the external decor. Kind of a 70's throwback style.
The server was a well-built guy with a head bandanna on. Looked more like he would be working on a construction site, vs. serving at a restaurant.
I tried the Mongolian beef lunch. It was prepared in under 10 minutes, good for lunchtime. Nicely presented on the plate. The taste was pretty much par for a Chinese food place. You could taste all the fresh green onions and beef. It was just okay.
I would come here again, as the prices are good. You can make it in and out in under an hour. So it will fit that bill if you need a quick decent lunch.
The interesting part is, look at the brick wall while in the booth. You will see all the mortar in between the bricks filled with fortune strips Seems that when you finish your meal, you get a fortune cookie. The patrons then put the fortune strip in the mortar of the bricks. There are a lot of them, not just a few. That might be a good reason for visiting the place, very unique tradition here doing that! -

My friend and I went to this restaurant unsure what to expect. Firstly, the owner was incredibly friendly and checked up on us a lot. He was funny and attentive. Made us feel like good friends or even family. It's our new tradition to go there now. Even though I have moved away, when I come back up we will have to go!
Now about the food, the lunch specials would such a deal and provided us a lot of food. Neither of us could finish haha. The food was tasty and didn't make our stomachs feel heavy after like some Chinese restaurants. I enjoyed our food and look forward to revisiting and trying new dishes!
